Calvin (he/him/his) is a cis man who is a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides virtual appointments to clients in DC, VA, and soon MD. Calvin has lived experience as part of the LGBTQ community and provides care to everyone, no matter their background.

Calvin provides care to anyone who is clinically safe for the practice model, no matter where they are in their life journey. He employs a holistic, multi-modal approach that takes into consideration his patient's lifestyle, culture, and mental health goals. He takes the time to listen and learn about you and your needs.

He offers medication management and complementary/alternative therapies based on the unique needs and values of his patients. He prides himself on providing care that is nonjudgmental, trauma-informed, and inclusive, and he believes care should be patient-centered, goal-oriented, and collaborative.

He graduated from UVA with a BA in Psychology before acquiring both his BSN and MSN, focusing on a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from VCU.

​

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, he worked as an in-patient registered nurse for 5 years in both adult progressive care and pediatric behavioral health units. During this time, he served on his hospital’s pharmacy-nursing committee.

When not working, he can be found taking care of his many pets and plants.
